Presentation

Purple4Life brings together a diverse and multidisciplinary consortium composed of 12 institutions from 7 European countries. This strong collaboration includes leading universities, research centres, and innovation experts, each contributing key knowledge and experience in biotechnology, microbiology, bioeconomy, circular processes, public engagement, and sustainability.

Together, these organisations work toward a shared mission: to harness the potential of Purple Non-Sulphur Bacteria (PNSB) and transform them into innovative and sustainable bio-based products for application in agriculture, aquaculture, food, health, and cosmetics.

The project is coordinated by Université de Mons (UMONS) in Belgium.
