Université de Mons (UMONS), located in Mons, Belgium, coordinates the Purple4Life project focused on valorizing agri‑food by‑products through purple photosynthetic bacteria (PPB). Led by Baptiste Leroy at ProtMic, its “PurpleTeam” develops sustainable PPB bioprocesses for food, and feed.
